The zoo that was formerly owned by Joe Exotic is under investigation after human remains were possibly found in the alligator pit.

According to TMZ, two cadaver dogs found the human remains during an episode of “Ghost Adventures” on Thursday in the alligator pit. Currently, the sheriff’s department in Wynnewood, Oklahoma is trying to figure out a way to determine if the remains are there and how to retrieve them safely.

However, a source close to Joe Exotic said there are human ashes that are buried in the grounds as a memorial since they decided to make the zoo their final resting place. Those ashes were not publically identified.
The zoo is currently under the ownership of Jeff Lowe after Joe Exotic handed it over to him prior to his conviction. Exotic is serving 22 years in jail for murder-for-hire and multiple acts of animal abuse. It was recently reported on June 3rd that Carol Baskin, Joe’s rival, gained full control of the zoo and the Greater Wynnewood Development Group must exit the premises within 120 days and remove all animals from the property.
