The Dallas Police Department announced its iWatch Dallas app on Saturday in hopes that citizens will report illegal activities from the protests against police brutality. Their tweet said, “If you have a video of illegal activity from the protests and are trying to share it with @DallasPD, you can download it to our iWatch Dallas app, You can remain anonymous.” Once Stan Twitter caught wind of the tweet, they decided to submit various fancams of famous K-pop groups such as BTS, EXO, Seventeen, BIGBang, and other groups.

In the report by Mashable, K-Pop fans also submitted videos of other police officers, memes, and unrelated content.

Several hours later, the Dallas PD made another tweet saying the app was temporarily shut down due to the override of videos.

Several Twitter users were surprised by the Kpop stans actions to protect protestors since they do not have the best reputation on the site.

Millions continue to protest nationally and internationally to end police brutality and systemic racism amid the tragic deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others.
