Texas Officers Draw Guns on Black Male For Running Stop Sign
A shocking video has surfaced of 21-year-old black man, who had his hands up, being circulated by cops who had guns drawn on him.
“Show me your hands” screamed the cop.
The incident occurred in Midland, Texas last week, but, has gone viral since tensions are at an all-time high after officers in Minnesota killed George Floyd.
The video shows Tye Anders pull into his driveway and exit his vehicle. He immediately puts his hands up and begins repeatedly asking the officers why they stopped him. Despite this, the officers continue to shout and point their guns at him. Tye even comes down to his knees and lays on his stomach in front of his family.
Anders can be heard crying in the video and telling the police that he’s scared. His 90-year-old grandmother steps out to tries to help. After Anders lies on the ground, the officers tell him to stand up, and they head over to arrest him. During the chaos, his grandmother trips over Tye and is helped back up by officers.
Tye was later arrested for evading arrest. A Townhall meeting is scheduled for later today to address the way in which Tye was approached and taken into custody.
