Rapper Nick Blixky Dies At 21 After Shooting In New York City

Family, fans and close friends of Nick Blixky are mourning the loss of the up-and-coming rap star after he was shot and killed Sunday in Brooklyn, according to CNN.

The New York Police Department said in a statement Monday that Nick whose real name is Nickalus Thompson was found unconscious and unresponsive with “gunshot wounds to his torso and buttocks.” He was discovered after police responded to a 911 call about a man shot in front of 200 Winthrop Street.

Nick was later transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Kings County where he was pronounced dead. As of right now, there have been no arrests and an investigation into the shooting is ongoing, police said.

Nick had had a song titled “Drive The Boat” with more than 2 million views on YouTube.
Just hours before his death, Nick had shared on Instagram that his mixtape, “Different Timin” was set to debut next month. It was going to be his first project.

Nick Blixky will be missed.
