YNW Melly Reaches Out To Kanye West To Help Him Get Out Of Jail Early

As we previously reported, rapper YNW Melly put in a request to get released from jail after testing positive for coronavirus. Melly had intentions to get COVID-19 treatment on his own, but the judge shot down his request and said he must stay in jail, and get the special medical treatment from the Broward Sheriff’s Office if needed.

According to TMZ, Melly’s been isolated from his cellmate, who also tested positive. However, he says he still isn’t getting the right medical attention that he needs. Now, despite getting denied early release, Melly has decided to reach out to other powerful folks in the rap game to see if they could help out.

On Thursday night, Melly tweeted out to Kanye West saying, “@kanyewest need your help Dm.” West and his wife Kim, who are big on prison reform have not tweeted back to Melly yet.

Kanye and YNW Melly did collaborate on a song together in 2019 titled, “Mixed Personalities.”

As we previously reported, Melly’s been in lockup for more than a year after being arrested and charged for the early 2019 double murder of 2 of his friends.
