Police Look To “Tiger King” Documentary To Solve Disappearance Of Carol Baskin’s Husband

Netflix docuseries, “Tiger King,” has become the most-watched show since it premiered and now police are looking to use the documentary to help solve the mysterious disappearance of Carole Baskin’s husband, Jack Lewis.

The seven-part docu-series follows the life of zoo owner Joe Exotic and his ‘wild life’ of reportedly killing some of his cats and even orchestrating a hit on his rival, Baskin. However, many were more concerned by Lewis’ disappearance, with some even suggesting Carol murdered him and fed him to her tigers.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister tells TMZ that the disappearance of Jack “Don” Lewis,  last seen on August 18, 1997, remains an active cold case, and the department is hoping that the Netflix series will help finally solve the mystery.

“Since @netflix and #COVID19 #Quarantine has made #TigerKing all the rage, I figured it was a good time to ask for new leads,” Chronister tweeted.

Lewis had previously asked for. a restraining order against Baskin, accusing her of trying to shoot him. She denied the claims and he later disappeared and was declared dead in 2002 after there was no sign of him.

Baskins inherited millions of dollars and their animal sanctuary and Joe Exotic claimed that Baskin murdered Lewis and used her meat grinder to feed him to the wild cats.

Baskin referred to the claims as“salacious and sensational” and has since expressed her disgust in the series.
