North Carolina Deputies Stop Stolen Trailer With 18K Pounds Of Toilet Paper
Upon pulling over a stolen tractor-trailer, deputies in North Carolina discovered 18,000 pounds of commercial toilet paper and more.
The incident occurred this past Wednesday (Mar 18) in Guilford County, after Sheriff’s deputies got a call of a stolen 18-wheeler, which they followed to a warehouse and proceeded to investigate.

In addition to the bath tissue, Captain Daryl Loftis stated that cargo included a mixture of tp, paper towels and other commercial-grade bathroom products.
Additionally, Loftis shared that the cargo had actually been a part of a lawful shipment, describing it as “legitimate cargo going to a legitimate place;” however, the trailer itself was reported stolen.

Furthermore, Loftis added that deputies helped get the shipment to its rightful destination in Greensboro, and that no arrests have been made.
However, he added that the driver — whose name they’re keeping anonymous as the issue of bath tissue is “fairly sensitive right now” — is a suspect in the theft of the trailer. At the moment, the incident is being treated as an open investigation.
