New Orleans Saints coach Sean Peyton has tested positive for the coronavirus and he says he could have been exposed to the infection due to tourists who were visiting for Mardi Gras.
According to the Daily Mail, Payton released a statement with ESPN concerning his status and said tourists may have been a contributing factor for testing positive for the coronavirus. He started to experience symptoms on Sunday and went to get testing on Monday. Payton received his results earlier today, prompting him to inform NFL fans and the public alike.

Payton says he feels thankful that he didn’t have the severe symptoms of the coronavirus but is urging younger people to take precaution so prevent further infections:
‘I was fortunate to be in the minority, without the serious side effects that some have. I’m lucky. Younger people feel like they can handle this, but they can be a carrier to someone who can’t handle it. So we all need to do our part. It’s important for every one of us to do our part.’
