Instagram influencers are known to hop on the latest trends and challenges, however, this time they might have taken it too far as they are using the deadly coronavirus as a means of getting traction to their posts.

As we reported, Chinese officials confirmed that the deadly virus has infected at least 9800 people with 213 confirmed deaths throughout 21 countries. The World Health Organization labelles the outbreak as “unprecedented” and a global health emergency has been declared.

Influencers are taking advantage of the epidemic and posting images in bikinis, gas masks and perfectly posed shoes using the hashtag to gain more likes and comments. The“#coronavirus” has around 200,000 posts related to the deadly illness, but there is a troubling number of images showing half dressed couples making out on beaches while wearing masks and others just being vulgar.

“F**k the corona virus,” poster starLogan Paul alongside an image that fits better with spring breakers.
