The Ukrainien jetliner that crashed in Iran, leaving all 176 passengers dead, is believed to have been brought down by an Iranian missile.

Canada’s prime minister, Justin Trudeau, revealed that there was evidence to back up the theory of Iran shooting down the plane.

While speaking at a news conference in Ottawa, Trudeau said the fatal incident “may well have been unintentional.”

The flight was travelling to Kiev from Tehran.

“We have intelligence from multiple sources, including our allies and our own intelligence. The evidence indicates that the plane was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile,” he added.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson shared the same sentiment,

“There is now a body of information that the flight was shot down by an Iranian Surface to Air Missile. This may well have been unintentional,” Johnson said. “The UK continues to call on all sides urgently to de-escalate to reduce tensions in the region.”

The crash happened right after Iran fired ballistic missiles at two US military bases in Iraq.

As we reported, US official’s also reported that satellite data proved that the missiles brought down the plane. They believe it was accidental.

The data reveals that the plane was in the air for two minutes before the heat signatures of two surface-to-air missiles were detected. The data shows signs of an explosion where the plane was, followed by the jetliner going down in flames.

Donald Trump said that he didn’t think the crash was due to mechanical problems and that “somebody could have made a mistake on the other side.”
