911 Call In Ahmaud Arbery Killing Released, “Black Male Running”
The 911 calls made prior to the fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery sheds further light on the incident and motives of the two white men who hunted Arbery down while he was jogging through a neighborhood in Georgia.
The calls, obtained by the Guardian, surfaced shortly after graphic video went viral of the moment that Arbery was shot by Gregory McMichael, 64, and his 34-year-old son, Travis McMichael, who thought he was a ‘burglary suspect.’ No criminal charges were filed and now the world is seeking justice!
In the first call made at 1:14pm, the dispatcher asks for the location and the reason for the call. The caller then responds, “Uh, I’m out here at Satilla Shores. There’s a black male running down the street.”

The caller believed to be the Gregory McMichael can be heard shouting, “Goddamn it, c’mon, Travis.”
The rest of the 4:46-minute long call, the operator can be heard asking “hello, where you at?” At some point after this call, the fatal encounter with Arbery occurs and he is shot dead.
There was also a call prior to the incident bringing attention to alleged suspicious behavior on Arbery’s part, claimed by the caller.
“There’s a guy in the house right now, a house under construction,” said the caller.
“And you said someone’s breaking into it right now?” the operator responds.
“No, it’s all open, it’s under construction,’ the caller adds. ‘And he’s running right now, there he goes right now.”
Arbery was known to be a jogger in the community, his behavior was in no way suspicious. The operator then responded with, “Ok, what is he doing?”
“He’s running down the street,” the caller adds.
“Okay, that’s fine. I’ll get them out there. I just need to know what he was doing wrong,” the operator asks.
Arbery’s killers claim that they thought he was a burglary suspect.
Following release of the shocking video, Arbery’s family has called for immediate arrests of the men,
“I saw my son come into the world,” Arbery’s mom, Wanda Cooper Jones, said. “And seeing him leave the world, it’s not something that I’ll want to see ever.”
