Oop! While 50 Cent reacted to a shoutout from Taylor Swift, he claimed he liked her with fiancé Travis Kelce and then shaded the Kansas City Chiefs Tight End’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole.
While sitting down for an interview with Extra’s Mona Kosar Abdi, 50 Cent not only talked about being a big fan of T-Swift, but of her fiancé Travis Kelce. Fif was asked bout Swift’s recent shoutout on her new album ’The Life of a Showgirl.’
On the song “Ruin The Friendship,” Swift sings about an unnamed “50 Cent song” as playing in the background of a would-be romantic moment from her past. 50 Cent reacted and said:
“It really is cool because when she makes the reference, if you listen to the song, it’s to what was going on in culture at that time. The music, you couldn’t miss it at that point. And that’s why it was cool to me. The shoutout is the shoutout, but what she was making reference to is the period that no one was more prominent in music at that point. So it’s exciting to have that.”
50 Cent Praises Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Relationship While Shading ‘His Last Thing He Had Going On’
Fif continued to praise Swift’s boyfriend Kelce, whom she got engaged to in August — the same month she released her new album. 50 said, “And then, I like her boyfriend too. I like the team, I like KC, I like the whole thing.”
When asked if he liked the two together, 50 confirmed he did. However, he also subtly shaded Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole. She and Kelce were romantically involved for about five years, beginning in 2017. 50 said, “I like it a lot better than the last thing he had going on. It’s a lot better.”
Note: some fan speculation left some viewers wondering if 50 Cent was talking about reporter and TV personality Zuri Hall. It was rumored that the Kansas City Chiefs star was dating Hall. However, she later denied any truth to the claims. Subsequently, most fans online, and other publications, have landed on Fif shading Kayla Nicole.
