Police Issue Warning About “Beaning” Trend On TikTok

Police have issued a warning in Manchester, England about teens purchasing a large number of beans and pour them on the front steps of homes as part of a new Tik Tok trend.

The trend called “Beaning” has earned millions of views on and thousands of likes on TikTok after a group called the Bean Bandits poured several cans of beans on residential properties. In a statement, the West Yorkshire Police have warned parents to remove cans of beans from their homes and be alert to teens who are buying large amounts of cans.

“If you have children living at home, please be mindful if you see them removing cans of beans from the family home.”

According to Insider, there have been multiple reports since mid-August about people pouring beans on doorsteps in Surrey and fleeing the scene shortly after.

“Local officers have received reports of incidents in Wonersh where beans and other food has been poured onto residents front doors and cars overnight. The victims are understandably distressed by this unacceptable behaviour.” the Surrey Police Dept wrote on a Facebook page.

Currently, the consequences for participating in the prank are unknown.
