200 British Tourists Forced To Quarantine At Swiss Ski Resort Escape In Middle Of Night
Hundreds of British tourists who were forced to quarantine at a Swiss ski resort due to a new Coronavirus strain, have escaped in the night.
Apparently, 200 of the 420 UK tourists who were forced into isolation in Verbier, Switzerland, have fled rather than obey the quarantine rules and resume skiing after 10 days.
Swiss authorities announced that anyone who visited  the country from the U.K since the 14 December must remain in quarantine for ten days.

Hotel staff report that they discovered that the tourists had disappeared when their room service trays were abandoned outside. Some tourists even called and asked for their money back after they made it into France.

A rep for the area spoke out about the situation,
“We understand their anger,” Jean-Marc Sandoz said. “Suddenly families with small children were locked into 20 sq m (215 sq ft), and that’s intolerable.”
Britain’s reputation hasn’t been trashed enough this week, so let’s add the story of 200 British tourists who had been quarantining in Verbier doing a runner in the middle of the night. Charming. https://t.co/YlPoClcZ4a
